Seconds

Coorow Seeds pays growers for any grain removed during grading - referred to as seconds.  The value paid for the seconds relates to

1. The type of grain

2. Current market prices

3. The quality of the seconds

1. Cereal or Legume

All cereals seconds are stored together.

This silo can hold a mixture of wheat, barley, oats, triticale, rye and others.

All legume seconds are stored together

This silo can hold a mixture of lupins, chickpeas, field peas, faba beans, lentils, pastures.

Canola seconds are held seperately as many end users of the seconds products cannot

handle canola seconds through their equipment.

2. Market Prices

Market prices can fluctuate greatly within the grading season.

Coorow Seeds provides the best possible price back to growers for their seconds.

Coorow Seeds credit to growers will reflect the current market price for the commodity

less handling charges and freight to market if required.

3. Seconds Quality

Comments on the quality and value of the seconds are recorded on the Job sheet.

If the seconds contain mainly unwanted weed seeds or admixture they may be recorded

as having no commercial value and may have been disposed of.
