Lupins For Aquaculture

Lupinus Angustifolius (Narrow-leafed sweet lupin) dominates world lupin production, and is the main variety grown in the Coorow district. The protein content in the new varieties of Lupinus Angustifolius is high and is increased when processed into Lupin Meal.

The lupin kernel meal can be added into the recipe for fish pellets mainly fed to barramundi and similar fish.

This market is mainly present in South East Asia. The pellets are highly digestible and can be produced to float or sink.
